You can get a really good meal later at night than most places

Don’t ever come here on a Saturday around lunch time! The place had less then 20 people in it but it took over an hour to get food and when I got it it was really over cooked. Getting a drink in the place was a joke. Always fun when you’re sitting at a table and have to keep getting up to got to the bar. Of course when you get there the bartender isn’t even there. Maybe they should institute a self serve policy. At least that way the customers can actually get what they need. Also, half the stuff on their online menu including beer isn’t on their actual menu anymore.

Great place to go out with friends and get some drinks. Didn't get a chance to try the food but the bartenders were very nice and helpful

3 stars because we went Halloween about 7:30-8pm , it took us forever to get anything , the waitress was to busy talking to people at the bar , which it wasn’t that busy , we order Irish fries and dinner and the food by far was amazing . Really good . I was amazed . But she came out and said our Irish fries got burnt because it got forgotten and laughed about it and said were making a new one . Wasn’t really funny . My brother has to get up twice from the table to get any service from out waitress. He ended up going to someone at the bar just to pay our bill because she was to wrapped up in everything else and chatting away. I would say get your food to go before the food by far was amazing but the service and the customer service was poor in my opinion

Food is good and the atmosphere is good but it takes a long time to actually get food. Not sure if by design so you drink more or what. Once the food comes its very good. I had the wings and some sort of loaded fries and t hey were very good. Just took a while

I think that the rules of a place must be kept intact, depending on the different people who work in that place. I do not believe that I have to change my way of being only to please two or three people, when in fact in that place and known great characters, they respect me and I reciprocate their feeling. If you have any questions about it please send it to me and I will not put a finger in such a prestigious place

This place lives up to it's reputation...great place for a GOOD meal and drinks. Friends and date nights recommended!

Nice neighborhood place to grab a beer and some food. Staff was nice. Food was good. Fair pricing. Nice atmosphere. Def will be back for burger night on Mondays and half price sammies on Thursday.

I really enjoy going here but they need to upgrade there service.

DON'T HAVE AN OPINION IF YOU ATTEND THIS BAR!!A bartender asked me to go get my mask (because I had forgotten it in my car) which I promptly oblidged because I had forgotten it. I was discussing the controversy of wearing my mask in the bar with friends. The bartender took offense and KICKED ME OUT! After I had returned to my car to get my mask to comply to their COVID standards. SHE KICKED ME OUT! Blonde chick who kicked me out. Will not attended bar again. Understand obliging to COVID standards, but I can have an opinion. Last time I will ever enter Dead Prez.

The food is good, not amazing though and usually takes a long time. Servers are either attentive and professional or they'll practically ignore you. Usually the former but I've had some really frustrating nights eating there. But the atmosphere is exactly what i want a bar to feel and look like. So I can forgive them for a lot.

Amazing service and food. Our family visiting from Washington State and Grand Forks, N.D. just had to re-visit. Same great food and service as two years ago, on our first visit. I love this place! However, we did miss Ronald W. Reagan's picture. Still 5 stars!

I wanted to update my review a bit.Not only have I been impressed with the food when dining in, I am super impressed with the way my order was handled via delivery.I placed the order through Door Dash, only to have them bring me the wrong items (meat on the WTF burger when I asked to sub with a veg patty, for example). My phone-phobic anxiety-ridden self called the restaurant to straighten it out and the lady I spoke to was kind, professional, and super understanding about the mix up, as well as my nervousness. I really appreciated that. She walked me through what to do with Door Dash, helped replace my order, and double checked the incorrect items. She even called me once more before the food arrived to ensure everything was put in correctly.The food arrived and was absolutely delicious. (That pepper sauce is amazinggggg!!!!!)Thanks for the great food and outstanding customer service!

The customer service was terrible. We walked out without ever being acknowledged by the bar staff. The place was not crowded. We are visiting town for the weekend. When we walked in the atmosphere felt very cliquey. We were talking while waiting for a bartender to wait on us. Another patron interrupted our conversation to give us a rude remark. The bartender appeared to be too busy taking shots to wait on customers. We walked out and would not go back.

Ordered Mother's Day brunch for takeout. The food was really delicious. And it was a lot of food: eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, french toast, pancakes, and Belgian waffles.

Good food and drinks. Bar service is okay. Table service? Meh. One of the bartenders, brunette with glasses....super hot and down to earth. That gave it 4 instead of 3 stars.

It was okay! I ordered brunch; steak, eggs, and potatoes; everything was over cooked. I also ordered drinks, they were made pretty weak. Next time, I'll order chicken wings like I started too and stick with beer!

Walked out after 15 minutes, small place no acknowledgement from waitress. heard Another customer ask if he should order from bar because he had been sitting at a table for a while. I think he found some menus on his own. He also didn't have any contact with staff by the time we left.Technically it should be no star because we had no service of any kind.

Food was decent. I ordered a burger that didn't have a sauce on it. The female waiter (glasses) told me it would be 25 cents for Mayo. WHAT!!! Seriously if you have to charge for a condiment get a better food manager. I just used ketchup which to my surprise I wasn't charged for. Happy hour deal is sweet.

This spot is excellent! Affordable rates, considerable portions and the employees are constantly super nice.

Wanted to support a local business and try a new restaurant for brunch. When we walked in there were only a couple people at the bar. It took at least 15 minutes for the bartender to come over with menus and another 10 minutes to get our drinks. In the meantime a couple sat behind us and she took their food order at the same time as ours......after another 30 minutes their food came out, but ours never did. She never came over to see if we needed drink refills and after 45 minutes of waiting for food she brought the wrong food and eventually confessed to never putting our order in at all. She comped our drinks and we walked out. In addition it was cold in the place and their music speakers weren't working. Horrible experience. We ended up at Ironhill where we received excellent service and good food.

Affordable place to had a pint of beer and cocktail with presence of live music on some occasions which will be a delightful.

We went in during happy hour, and an assortment of appetizers were available for half price. We ordered an app, and part of our party had sandwiches, the other part had meals. Everyone loved their food, which came in a timely manner. The atmosphere was a comfortable bar setting with booths for diners. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be returning.

Very horrible customer experience. Never will I ever come back for business. The bartender is very racist and talks nasty. Cussing for no reason. Bad attitude. Will like to speak to a manager.

Female bartender was rude and disrespectful. Food never came 45 minutes later...then when my fiancé asked for his money back the bartender snatched his beer threw it away. He only wanted money back for the food. He asked for a manager and she said “he went home and nobody is in charge” like really?! We will be following up with the manager this is ridiculous. Never returning and I will be telling others to not to go there since they treat people like this.

We used to love coming to DP. We always had excellent service, the staff knew us, knew our favorite food and drinks. However, recently the staff has changed and isn’t as friendly and the service is slow. We came for an early dinner. There was only one other table. We ordered appetizers and it came out with the food. The waitress’ phone rang while taking our order. We’re disappointed that as a whole it has declined.

been here three times now, and each time has been superb. Was quiet each time, a hidden gem for sure!! Great specials, and brunch was even better than expected!!

I went for the first time for dinner with family. At first, we thought it's not a place for families and it's just a bar. But, the people here were welcoming. We had a tasty dinner which is really a good value for the money we pay. The service was pretty slow. But it's understandable with the amount of crowd and the few number of attenders.

Food was amazing ! Vibe wasn't quite what I was expecting but I did enjoy the food. I got the Alamo burrito (eggs, peppers, sausage, cheese) with their home fries & I ordered some potatoes to go home with my leftovers cuz they were amazing. Nice, chill place for brunch.

Nothing can beat their happy hour deals. The Irish cheese fries and chicken fingers are an absolute delight. Their lobster risotto is creamy and had the perfect texture, exactly where you want a risotto to be. Their fish & chips was fried perfectly, the breading crisp and the grouper cooked to perfection.I've been there two weeks in a row and I plan on returning every chance I get.

It's atmosphere could use a lot of work but if you like dive bars you'll like dead presidents. No updated drink menu. Draft list is less than average if you are looking for craft beer. The food is good as is the service.

A very happening place in the city with the millennial. Food was good and best server I love this place.

This was our first time to Dead Presidents and we had a really nice experience. The atmosphere was cool, even the parking lot was neat with paintings of our past presidents. The food was great as well as the service. There were 6 of us and our waiter did not write or orders down. Every meal served was just as we ordered! We are not from the area, but will be back again!

OMG Best dive bar ever ! GoGo! Ask for bar server Egypt ! We went to the car show at Hagley .
